I am a retired IT Business Analyst, who started out as an engineering geologist, but was forced to change careers as our economy ebbed in the 1980s. I took up digital photography as a retirement hobby, although I had been a casual "family" photographer for many, many years.
My favourite subjects are flowers, inside and outside, birds, landscapes, and wildlife in general. My most recent interest is in Infrared photography using a converted 5D III with a 590nm IR filter.

You only get one sunrise and one sunset a day, and you only get so many days on the planet. A good photographer does the math and doesn't waste either. - Galen Rowell
