Re: I would love some feedback on a photo

Thank you, both, for the welcome and the wonderful tips. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 I'm not very experienced with it. I've fiddled a bit and used YouTube to help my understanding. I agree with all oh Minniev's comments. The day I was at this reservoir, there was only a fisherman too far ou...

Re: Help Me Figure Out Something To Do With This

I wonder if you are all overthinking it. I saw what it was at a glance, but I am an old boat guy. I saw the eclectic mix of vessels right away and knew I was seeing models. I am mostly on my little 15-inch Chromebook so it's pretty small on the screen, but a 3-masted Chinese Junk anchored close abo...

Hi Deirdre, so glad to see you post for critique! I hope you'll post lots more and share your ideas about photos the rest of us post! All of us benefit from having other eyes on our pictures. Every time I post an image I learn something new from my compatriots here. This image features some to-die-f...

Re: Wheels Up

Paula, you always tend to have a flair for whimsy that I really enjoy seeing in your work. That kind of whimsy doesn't come easily for me and I have to work at that kind of creativity. With your permission, here is an attempt at realizing Piet's idea with a few added elements. Hopefully it starts g...

Re: Wheels Up

you have detail in the flying bird, emphasize it (I think). Perhaps make it a bird runway and add a couple more, one in the process of taking off and move the flyer a little to the right (mixed feelings about all that). I am troubled by the hard ugly green water to the front - but don't know what t...

Re: Kids and a Canon

When I crop to include more of the canon, the focus seems to move off the kids. And when I crop tighter on the kids, the canon seems to loose distinction. All comments welcome. FYI, this was a street scene. I obtained parents’ permissions, verbal, before shooting.0A10E73C-76A0-4E1E-886B-808BA46E9A7...

Re: Art Gallery of NSW

Thank you for the comments. Has anyone else taken their camera into an art gallery in their home town. Be nice to see? Have fun; I have taken my camera to the local art gallery twice this summer. I make these treks with my little 7 year old grandson who is an aspiring artist, and can already hold h...
