Re: Medical Mission-Philippines

Left Filo on the 9 March. At the time of leaving they had 6 confirmed cases, it is now going up to 90. In Australia it is about 240. So I have a higher chance of catching it here.

Re: Medical Mission-Philippines

Had fun with this team. Op went on for over 1 1/2 hours. So I told them to hurry as they were interfering with drinking time! And, yes, they did laugh... Wound area covered for this posting, but it shows how I took a lot of the pics and that is by holding the camera high up and shooting down. I get ...

Medical Mission-Philippines

Another medical mission. This time high in the mountains in the north of Luzon.
These were but a few of the crowds surrounding us.

Lorikeets

My next door neighbour has pet Lorikeets in a cage. Every day they put out food in the morning and afternoon for extra friends who wish to visit. These two were sitting on top of the cage. Shot with the 100-400mm Canon lens. Distance about 6ft.

Re: Hottest City on Earth

Sydney is on water rations..They estimate they need 2in of rain over 3-4 days to put it out. Another 2 million acres added to above tally. Fires creating their own weather patterns. Brown/red skies from fires in New Zealand.

Re: Hottest City on Earth

Thx Minnie:
To give some scale to what has happened here so far, international media outlets have been reporting the 2018 California fires burnt 2 million acres; the 2019 Amazon fires 2.2 million; and the 2019 Siberian fires 6.7 million.
So far Australia's 2019/20 fires have burnt 12 million acres.

Hottest City on Earth

Today we have been told that Sydney is the hottest city on the planet with temperatures of 48.5C Picture taken near front door. Was informed about 4 days ago that If you placed the fires on a map that was 1 to 1 ratio with Europe. Europe would now cease to exist. The fires have not stopped and are g...

Re: Japan

Minnie: To be honest, taking a picture of the canvas print, you will not see any difference. That said, it can depend on what type of canvas you are printing to. A smooth glossy canvas as I printed upon will give you a smooth finish. Obvious I know. Printing to a rough matt or perhaps a rag will cha...
