Re: Port Clyde Butterflies

One fun thing I have started with is to print onto canvas then put a layer of Mod Podge or similar over the top with a flat sponge brush. Next comes the really fun part. Where you have details in the print. Mix the Podge with gloss varnish and with a paint brush, brush over the details to give it de...

Re: Wild winds

There is a final ending to all this. While walking away from the house where the big tree fell. I noticed a guy carrying a large video camera. I jokingly said " You're too late I've got it all" OH YEAH!! Our national TV channel is the ABC. On their news, pictures of this house came up. Oh Well...Bet...

Wild winds

In Sydney, here in Aussie land, we have been spared the bush fires that have ravaged many parts of the country. So far over 3 million acres have burned and 600 homes gone. Today my power went out due to wild winds and my fencing got damaged. I was told that many trees had fallen near by and houses h...

A lovely Bug

Saw this to what I can only describe as a beetle walking on a loose brick in my back yard. The colours absolutely floored me. So I ran inside and took out my trusty Canon with a 85mm prime. Attached 36mm and 20mm Kenko lens extenders and went to work, but soon realised that I needed to add the 12mm ...

Composite?
What would you do with it, Minnie?
As seen there is a walkway behind the boat, but I think it is only for staff. Did you read the link?
Have fun;

First picture of a statue in front of a sailing vessel. Shame about the tall tower behind. It is a new casino being built on the foreshore. Blast!! The navy were having a function in the museum and I took the liberty of taking a few pics as they came off their boat. Not much work done to the pics, b...

Took photos around the museum here in Sydney. Shame it was dull and overcast, but as always, fun. This first picture is of an unassuming boat called the Krait. If you open the lync. You will change your mind. As added info. The Japanese thought that saboteurs on the mainland were responsible and mur...
