A Spirited Political Discussion in the Library

This is kinda like the beauty shop, a fantasy fun piece. These things, and my kid composites, are good ways for me to practice various compositing skills. Not sure I'm improving though. All suggestions or edits welcome.

FLOWERS

Well most of our flowers are gone, but I found some honeysuckle growing on the garden fence. Then once I was done with my obligation, I pulled out a shot of some tulips from our weekend in Nashville a couple of weeks ago, and edited it for an artish look.

This works quite well. I love it!
Thanks.

A third variation on the theme, using one of my favorite ploys of mixing old art pieces and current photography.

Re: The Box That Light Came In

so just thinking about your story....a suggestion would be to start small in the box with your light bubbles and funnel them bigger from there...as it is you have started big and gotten smaller if that makes sense.........your light has blossomed and dissipated if you will.. I’m gonna look for a be...

Re: The Box That Light Came In

I agree that the chest is hard to identify. I would go further to say that I don't think it's even needed. The image is impressive enough without that bit of detail. While on the subject of distractions, I feel the birds in flight, upper right, are also not needed. Overall I think this is one of yo...

Mothers Day Reverie - Add Yours If You Want

Two pictures i didn't take, because back then I (a) couldn't and (b) didn't have time, plus one I DID take and manipulate. Me in my mother's arms, taken by my father who introduced me to photography My three boys in their heyday, my greatest inspirations for anything creative A joint creative photo ...

Fanciful minniev, the pirate chest seems almost indistinguishable..
I struggled with the box, which wasn't a very good image to start with. I may have to go back and try some re-do with a better box.

The Box That Light Came In

There's a lot of ancient stories about how light came to be, and some involve it having been kept in a box till a bird tricked the old man who owned it into letting him play with the box whereupon he stole the ball of light and threw it into the sky. I made my own version of the story with a pirate ...
