Re: Fingerwork for Today: Aspen in Snow

Loving the stuff you and Dave are putting up. You seem to have really found your groove!
As always, we all see and interpret differently. The large snow representations seem to overpower the rest of the picture and my eyes continuously come back to them.
Your thoughts?

Re: Two o'clock in the morning

Good one Matt. On a footnote. Remember that pic I sent you with Mt Fuji in the background? Came back from Japan, where my mate and I stayed for two weeks. Got the bullet train from Kyoto to Yokohama then a local to Mt Fuji. Where my mate found out he had made a mistake with hotel bookings. We were d...

Minnie; "Having layers of stuff to move the eye through the scene is fun" You are right. Holds your interest, and from where you took the picture my eyes went in a straight line from the foreground to the distant hills. Where would I digress.An element that is not found in nature. My thoughts only, ...

Miinie;
The girl is in between the pillars with light behind her. Therefore her shadow will fall on the floor on the lighted part between the shadows of the pillars.

Re: The Maroon Bells trail head

What ruins many a panoramic scene is where you do not have a foreground/middle and distant elements. With this photo you have it all.
" I'm sure it would have been better with great light and a dramatic sky. Maybe i'll try to fix that!"..How can you improve on what nature gives you?

Re: Fantasy Fingerwork

Agree with above. What makes believable fantasy? What makes fantasy believable? I love the way you introduce graphical design elements into your work now. It is something I will have to look at more closely. Woman at balustrade? Yes you could place her shadow on the floor where the light is, in betw...

Re: 'Winners & Losers'

Art work nicely done Dave and to you usual high standard.
The one sided lean with the camera is something I have to contend with... :)
Horses layer. Suggest you desaturate slightly to blend in with the man and woman. Your thoughts?
