Thank you for the suggestion Minniev. I've attempted to implement the changes you outlined. Thank god for Stamp Layers! I was able to take the completed sketch, make about 3 or 4 Stamp layers invisible, and create a mask that blended the sketch with the original Gaussian Blurred textured background ...

Haunting

One of those moments when camera blur has "ruined" an image. But hold on ........ colors, an eery feeling, hints of architecture and form. The haunting ambiance of this one caught me.

What makes this shot is the expression. Many of your animal shots are all about their exquisite detail. The detail is there in this one too, but is overshadowed by the strength of personality that's conveyed. One of the things I love about Shih Tzus is that those big round eyes always look somewhat...

LIke the other Vets here, I could only WISH to have traveled the world with a digital camera and the software to post-process the wonderful images. Memory is nice but doesn't hold quite the resolution of an image captured with a good lens and processed in RAW.
