Taking ON1 Photo RAW 2018 HDR (Tonemapping) for a spin

The production version of ON1 Photo RAW 2018 was released just last week, after 4 Beta versions had been tested. Their new facility to blend Automatic Exposure Brackets works seamlessly, providing a tone-mapped image in the Browse Module which is a good foundation on which to add filters and presets...

Re: Challenge: Be Free And Be Happy

The free software is ON1 Photo Effects Free 10.5. I have embraced ON1's software fully and am currently striving to get better at incorporating it into my workflow. I have the full versions of ON1 Photo 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 2017 and now, ON1 Photo RAW 2018 (a potential candidate to replace Lightroom if...

I was going to use some paid-for software I downloaded for free from a daily giveaway site but decided to use Google's Picasa instead. - I used Picasa as my editing software for a few years but it's amazing now to think how little control it offers. Still cool though! ...

Ragdoll

Not quite a High Key, but enough white on white to bring out those blue eyes.

Sidetrack - Sketch

While some folks pursue achieving some great "painterly" effects, I've taken another road ....... sketches. I suspect it's a holdover from my teen years when I drew in pen and ink .... it never quite left my blood. I really love the effect it brings out in bare trees ...... showing the arc...

Re: How I've Spent 2 Years & All My $

It looks to be money very well spent ..... at least I hope so. Who gets to use it? Is it a Family getaway that folks can stay in for free? I've never restored an old home myself, but I live very close to Historic Old Glencoe, a Mill town that closed down in the late 40's. For some reason, a Heritage...

Princeton Battle Monument with Fall Colors

Bright colors, a venerable Revolutionary War Battle Monument, and bright, blue skies ....... a photographer's delight (at least this one's).

Re: Manistee River from an Overlook

I just hope I'll be forgiven for setting the woods on fire with the HSL sliders cranked up. I might not have noticed too much except for the bright red dirt at the bottom-right. I have to ask too, is it raining or did you add a canvas texture? S- Ayup, good eyes Steve. A canvas texture was added in...
