Re: Use Your Magic Eyes

Neat stuff. Amazing how the mind can play tricks on you if you let it. If you are interested in illusions, check this one out - http://www.michaelbach.de/ot/index.html.

Re: You may like...

800 images - is that all - a walk in the park, or I guess in this case the zoo. (Tongue in cheek) I came back from Africa with over 3500 images to go through, granted it was ten days of photography, but after 4 trips to the Dark Continent, I am a little more fussy than when I shot over 5000 ...

Looks like Rosie and others had fun, maybe not as much fun as she had. Thanks for sharing.

Re: St. Louis Zoo - More birds

Tom, nice bird images. Sometimes you can't get the "zoo" out of all of them. :)

Re: St. Louis Zoo - Herpetarium

Again, you have done a great job of eliminating the "zoo" from the picture (except 2.6 plate of goodies). The turtle shots could have been taken in the Galapagos at the Conservation farm where they are raising them for re-introduction into the wild.

Re: ST. Louis Zoo - Seals & Sea Lions

Tom, again you have done a great job of taking the "zoo" out of the image. With the exception of the one with the kid in it, these could have been taken anywhere in nature. This is not easy to do in the zoo, but great job! As for the second set - having seen these animals in the wild, I am...

Re: Thoughts of Andrea Kertesez

Very nice. I agree with Tom, part of me is waiting to see who comes through the door.

I checked some of his photography on the web and I continue to be amazed by what some of these earlier artists accomplished without Photoshop. Thanks for sharing.

P.S. Did you mean André Kertesez?

Interesting portrait. I am not sure I like the close crop, but that is a personal thing.

Re: Hilary

Very nice images. That one of Hilary is a great effect. Looks like something I am trying to do with my flower pictures. Any reference to the "process"? I went and checked out Darton Drake and his images are incredible, particularly when you consider that he did a lot of his work in the dar...

The Yellow-crowned Night Heron looks like a juvenile, is it?

The water lily is very nice. Thanks for sharing.
