Re: St. Louis Zoo - Primate House

Neat shots...and to think that some of those guys are part of our ancestral tree. :)

Re: St. Louis Zoo - "River's Edge" - part 1

Tom, these are neat pics. You have done a great job of trying to keep the "zoo" out of the images. I like the hippos shots, not something I am liable to get in Africa as they are very dangerous animals. They kill more people in Africa in a year than any other animal. The bird is an Austral...

Re: Foggy Foggy Dew

Nice image. If it were mine, I think I might have gotten a bit closer to the "trees" and eliminated some of the "green" foreground. This would have required opening up the lens to maybe 25-30mm. I think if you crop it just before the water starts it will place more emphasis on th...

Re: Mother & Daughter

I am not a portrait or people photographer - don't have the patience - but I think I can recognize a good one when I see it. This is very nice and I do hope the Mother and daughter will treasure it for years to come. You have managed to capture an emotional moment in a great image.

Re: My second 52, an assortment of images

Glad you made it home safely WG and I look forward to seeing more. I always love the critter shots, all the more so when they are in their natural environment. Thanks Tom. It is a long trip both going there and coming home, but it is all worth it in the end. I am still a little bit jet-lagged, but ...

Re: My second 52, an assortment of images

Week 26 - on Safari in Sabi Sands, South Africa. I have just returned from two weeks on safari in Sabi Sands, South Africa, so I have a bit of catching up to do. I will do this by posting one image from each week in this forum. Sabi Sands is considered by many to be the Leopard capital of the world...

Re: Got bored...

Tom, interesting set of images. I have to agree with Ceropegia, I think I like the colour one best of the bunch and that last one, well I wouldn't want to run into that guy in the dark, if you know what I mean . WesternGuy That's the look I give folks who knock on my door at 1:00 in the afternoon t...
