Nice shots, I guess you guys are pleased to see the see these lovely blooms, warmer weather on its way for you, down here in Oz it's starting to slowly cool down so a lot of our flowers are coming into full bloom and the grass is starting to green up a bit, a lot of flowers bloom in winter in our area. :D
Cheers,
Paul.

Thanks, Pete
We had frost here the past weekend, too. Probably hit the upper 20's. Fingers crossed it is the last frost.

Thanks Paul,
Yes we are happy for spring here. I love to walk in my woods to find the wildflowers which only last for a couple of weeks.

Week 10 (March 19 - March 25, 2015) Part 1 of 3

My old desktop monitor has died, so I am now using a new inexpensive one. It is quite bright. Some images seem very saturated, so I really don't have a very good idea of how my edited photos are turning out, but they appear OK on my old laptop. I bought the inexpensive one to tide me over until I can spring for a new desktop with a good photo editing monitor.

We had some very nice weather here on Week 10. Took some more wildflower photos and some early garden flowers. Then I went to check out the egret/heron rookery to see if it had indeed moved from the island where the trees had finally died. It had indeed, although, a few birds are nesting at the old site and the cormorants love perching there. Fortunately the new site is a little closer, but still quite a distance away. The site is in the James D. Martin Widlife Park, a wetland reserve that is part of the Coosa River watershed. It is a Gadsden, Alabama city park that borders the Gadsden Mall on one side, a highway on another, and residential areas on the other two. It is one of my favorite places to walk. The rookery is on the side adjacent to the mall - so easy to get to. I just drive up to the parking lot which borders the water, get out and shoot, so fair warning, this 52 will probably have a lot of shoots taken from there in the next couple of weeks. In addition to checking out the rookery, I also went walking in the park to see what I could see.

Nice Week 10 shots Martha. Glad to see that Spring is returning to your part of the world. They keep saying here that "spring is just around the corner", only they won't say which corner :) . I did hear a robin this morning - couldn't see it, but heard it, so maybe our spring is close.

Week 13 (March 26 - April 1, 2015) Part 1 of 3

My week count has been way off. Since I had the previous three shown as week 10, this week is really 13.
