Not a familiar topic on this forum, but I do like HDR for scenes that I know that will be outside the scope of the censor.
Over the years I have used differing software and for my purposes they are too cumbersome to use, and have now reverted to P/Shop to do it's thing. It is simple and quick.
On1 Photo Raw 2018 has the ability to do HDR raw conversion. So why not put it up against P/Shop.
You have the ability to place settings on the raw file before conversion in On1, but I left it at Standard.
Used three photos at -2, 0, +2
As can be seen On1 ( Pic2 ) has a more aggressive tone curve and more detail than P/shop.

Have fun;

I have not tried the On 1 HDR but it looks interesting. Yes, I see the more aggressive look to the detailing, but it isn't aggressive in an offensive way like what the NIK HDR filter does (I have never been able to thoroughly tame that one!). I mostly use Aurora for HDR, because it's so customizable, but since I have on1, I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind posts.
I'm not dismissing P/S. It's softer approach, I feel gives you more leeway for processing if required.
