Vivid

Post by pop511 »

Once a year Sydney puts on a light show called "Vivid" and because it is a light show, the displays on the buildings are constantly changing and moving. The area was totally packed out on the weekend so I came during the week. What I particularly liked was. As I had all my gear with me people were constantly asking me to shoot them with their phone cameras.

Taken on a tripod with cable release 640 Iso \ F12-16 \ 2-4 sec exposure.
Took these walking around the harbour foreshore.
Have fun:

That surely is vivid! The long exposure looks like a good creative choice, and the HDR-like processing really brings out the colors.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that attracts an inordinate number of people wanting their photos taken with their cell phones.

Picture 3 and 6 were done HDR. The displays were constantly moving and changing. So HDR would be a waste of time.
Kind regards;

Fantastic shots.

As for people asking for your 'assistance'... I can relate. I don't mind the occasional ask but if it gets too much I will respond with an apology that, "I'm trying to get work done for insert bogus name magazine," and that, "I can't right now, sorry." :D

Works all the time and they often apologize for bothering me.

Ed, don't you know the number one rule of evil plans is not to discuss your evil plans? :cheers:
