I tried it Frank, with no success. At the bottom of the stairs sat an aging dog, staring out at its family on the beach as well as at what looked like one of its offspring frolicking in the water. Up-the-down-staircase never appeared. A bit later, the family left and the dog followed, hoisting and hefting herself up a slow step at a time. At the top, she paused, legs quivering, and looked in my direction. I snapped the moment. Then she humped on. And I went back to my book. Matt
