It saddens me to forward the news that our good friend and fellow photographer, Matt Quinn, has passed. As some of you may know, he had been battling cancer for a while and was on his way to recovery. Please take a moment to remember him in your prayers. |

I like it. Part of my mind waits for someone to come thru the door, and I wonder who it will be.

This is a perfect example of why I could never be a fine art photographer. You make the commonplace look uncommon. The beauty in the mundane. You find the lines that most people would dismiss.
For example, the juxtaposition of the roundness of the archway against the sharp angles of the adjoining door. So simple and so perfect... and so out of my grasp.
Thank you for another inspirational piece of art, Ernst.

Your compliment reflects mine and the only thing I might change is to add an inch to the left moving the door-frame off the edge of the image frame.
Beautiful as always! S-

Inch to the left would have added a distracting element which I didn't want to show.

It's always easier to coach from the sidelines! Thank you again, S-

Very nice. I agree with Tom, part of me is waiting to see who comes through the door.
I checked some of his photography on the web and I continue to be amazed by what some of these earlier artists accomplished without Photoshop. Thanks for sharing.

P.S. Did you mean André Kertesez?

You only get one sunrise and one sunset a day, and you only get so many days on the planet. A good photographer does the math and doesn't waste either. - Galen Rowell
