Here's my version and as you can see, it has far less impact and interest than yours. I didn't see the potential the way you did.

Your version is an excellent one Minnie. I like very much the point of view and the color tone. I usually struggle with the microphone in the face. Here you have managed to accomplish a shot without the microphone in the face but it's still in view.

Thanks Dave, I still say yours is far more evocative and mysterious!

I'm still up in the air on the processing Dave..I liked it on the surfer and some of your others but not sure of it here...

Understandable Frank !!! I have found that this style of processing isn't for every image/subject and actually not to everyone's tastes as well. However, to compare this image to the surfer isn't a fair evaluation. Even tho there are similarities between the two, they are different. One may think they are comparing apples to apples, but actually seems you are comparing red delicious to granny smith. I do appreciate your thoughts and honesty, but to each his own is be my thoughts. 8):

Dave, Love the face but not the overall treatment. Too soft and smokey; might have expected more of your grit approach. Matt

Thanks Matt, I understand !!! I still have some issues to be ironed out. Some of my comments to Frank would apply here as well.
