Absolutely love the bison image Steve !!! I see the title to possibly be 'Cheek to Cheek'

I may have to jump onboard the 30 day trial.

I've been going with Butts And Faces but I like 'Cheek to Cheek!' S-

I think I'm over the worst of it but still needed the tripod, but I'm catching up! S-

I am sorry you have been sick but fairly confident you didn't get it from me. (N)

I like the bread! It reminds me of a deceptively simple assignment they gave us in school, to photograph a single slice of plain, white, gushy bread. Whyyyyy? Because showing its texture turns out to be devilishly hard. You've nailed it (A+ even though it's not gushy white bread). I can see that your light source is broad (window probably?) but from the left, and low enough get the skimming effect they wanted us to understand: texture lighting they called it. You can identify the shadows in the nubbies and wrinkles in the napkin beneath and the shadow going off to the right of the slice, exactly what our instructors looked for. All good training in seeing, truly seeing the action of light.

Glad you feel better (gives me hope) and Mary Ellen is a sweetie! Love the grass blade hanging from her lip like an unfiltered Camel. She is an example of symmetrical balance. I don't know exactly how you would photograph her, at least this way, without going symmetrical. Nice soft focus behind her, all the wire sharpness where it should be, on that dangling unlit cigarette. :)

Thank you so much! I had to take her portrait through a tight fence and her husband Bill kept nudging her, but every now and then she would wink at me and I would take a few. Cute as a tortoise! Thank you again! S-

I can tell you're better, you've got a better grip on the camera! No more fever-shake!

Seriously, great texture in this one, and it ain't as easy as it looks.

She is adorable and adorably centered. Her expression is priceless and timeless. She has been perfecting this nonchalant stare a very long while.

I don't see the unlit Camel Chuck sees, but I'm from the South, and not so long ago it was very common to see a country lady
(or country kid, I've done it myself) with a piece of Johnson grass in the corner of her mouth, the stuff has a fresh sweet taste on a warm day.
