You will be hard pressed to shoot a full sun. Remember that you need a minimum of 16 stop filter to shoot it, and not have it blown out. very few things in nature that are seen only by reflected light can compete...in fact none that I am aware of. Go with the pros....meter to the side for proper exposure of the rest of the picture, then compose to fit the sun in. Their is no data to be had in the suns disc without solar filters.
...and I like the mood and composition you have in this shot.
After coming back to this I think I would have lowered my viewpoint a tad. That would accomplish two things: First it would narrow the amount of water between the sun and the flower, AND secondly it would have put the reflected sunlight stream so that it passed all the way through the flower. But that is not a critique...the kudos stand. You could, and should print this and hang it.
