Naked Ladies! (SAFE for work, actually Surprise Lilies by another name)

So I am lazy and not always feeling well so my DIL brought in some flora from her garden and put it on the table near the window so my challenge was to photograph some of it without having to actually "dress the set." (?) So I figgered the only way was to get in uber tight.

These are made entirely in manual everything using my A6000 with favorite 18-105 f/4 and a 16mm extension tube, all available light and (obviously) exposing hard to the right (ISO 125). Mostly Lightroom with a little Nik whiz-bang. :|

Lovely, Chuck. Tethered shooting, I'm so impressed!

The light is magic. You're good at this stuff. Have you thought about making yourself a light box? I think Piet has done that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6fnHEvLyAE.. I've long been fascinated by Harold Davis's flowers, which are a combination of several techniques. https://www.digitalfieldguide.com/faqs/ ... ansparency

Thanks so much for the tips! I really should stop being so lazy and build that light box! I do have a tip of my own regarding constant lighting for any purpose: Voldemart seems to be switching away from CFLs to LEDs! They have various brands including Great Value, in equivalent wattages up to 100, in daylight or warm-white (incandescent) color balances. I already have one, a daylight in a spun-aluminum reflector but haven't done much with it yet. What makes it more wonderful than CFL is cool running, so cool you can grab the bulb while "burning!" Virtually no heat at all, hardly even warm beyond room temperature. That makes it more versatile than pretty much any other source, plus cheap (you can get a 4-pack for about $12 bucks). :yay:
