Does anyone else see Hannibal's war-elephant here?

Thanks, Matt. It's good to hear from, especially as you are the one that pointed me to this site in the first place. I've seen quite a few of your posts and am impressed.

Bob, I like the shadow play and texture and absolutely see one of Hannibal's best here! But you ought to do some warping to make the skull fatter and perhaps thin the trunk. The bark looks like armor, I think this is very cool but you need to take it further and get the shapes dead on. It would be worth the effort, take it from wood that looks like an elephant to an elephant of bark. Love the grittiness of it! Super nice processing on it.

(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

Very imaginative, and I love the added texture! S-

By request I am posting an edit of Bob's image made to look more like an elephant.
Pachyderm.jpg
Edited version

All editing was done in Photoshop using layers and a few blending modes. I have labeled all the layers and appended the labels with hints as to what was done. I also did some judicious dodging and clone stamping in and around the eye and some areas of the lower jaw and ear with some constructive liquify around the mouth.

Hope you like the results.

For Piet: Duck has provided the image you just described. His turned out much better than mine would have. For Duck: Thanks much! Good on ya Mate!
