'Cinnamon Girl'

Post by davechinn » Wed Dec 05, 2018 4:42 pm

A composite I put together from New Orlean. The background taken outside of Café Du Monde and Cinnamon Girl was taken from Bourbon Street onto a side street which I can remember the name. My concerns are .... direction of lighting and is it realistically believable. Posted is the original background used, the original Cinnamon Girl image and of course the B&W conversion composite.

I used the reflector filter in Topaz Lens Effects to create a partial gold/sepia tone from the top left feathered down to the bottom right to kinda justify the title.

She seems well placed, and the shadows are well integrated to make her fit. She's also a pleasing character, airy and cheerful with a nice sense of movement. Very very minor nit: the light line on her shin, which is a part of the initial picture, is a little more noticeable in the context of the composite. Just a thought.

Thanks Minnie, I never picked up on your minor nit until pointed out. I'll have to agree and I'll make the corrections. I have other shots of her (non-composites) I may post as well.
