An interesting piece minniev....I'll just say the text and surfaces seem to overwhelm any of the photo part as that part seems more sketch to me.......but I like it none the less

You got it: in the fog there was no detail at all, so I used PS tricks to extricate the shapes and traced them manually then blended them onto a heavily textured background to get the sketched feel.

the font and texture work really well provide a surface for the art. I like the font used and how the textures are sharp and present as a surface for a drawing rather than as a background.

Thanks. I was trying to do exactly that. I'm not satisfied with the sketchwork but that is definitely a work in progress that will never be finished. The concept is as you described, how to create a sense of tactile depth when there is none, to place such a thing on top of.
