Turning Angel
This is a statue memorializing 5 young women who were killed in a gas explosion that destroyed the local drug company in 1908. The 5 story facility had its own "modern" gas-powered pharmacy. The monument attracts lots of tourists, who leave money and trinkets around the stones and the angel statue. I have straightforward images, of course, but tried some abstracting/colorization in icolorama, a mobile ap, while I was on the road. You may see the statue again, possibly outside the country chapel I posted earlier. link to the story http://andspeakingofwhich.blogspot.com/ ... mpany.html

I really love this one. It's strong, graphical and holds plenty of interest in its simplicity. I particularly love the minimal color palette but more so the use of texture to differentiate the elements from each other. Very well done. I can picture this as a square (extend the sides) crop gallery wrap canvas.

Thanks Duck. Icolorama is a massive mobile ap that to me is more complex than photoshop. I"m just starting to learn it, but it sure does a lot of stuff. Most mobile aps seem to rely on one click presets but this thing is a monster of colorization, layering, artistic styles, brush options, and all kinds of stuff.Duck wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 1:18 amI really love this one. No, it's just that sometimes I stumble upon a series of steps that ends up working, but I never can figure out how to replicate. I am far from mastering, and it is confounding.
