Flipped and mirrored. I was thinking of working an upside down too and love it! Well done! S-

Piet,
Two reflections?
Right you are...and now the third step?

Dave

mmmm... not sure, is light on bottom and dark on top, so a gradient, or perhaps an upside down flip placing water on top and light sky below and then fix the hills to be correct. Want to know. Want To Know!! LOL

Whatever you did (halved, flipped, reflected???), it makes for an arresting image that I really enjoy looking at again and again. It is a fantastical image and I like the mystery of it, so it isn't necessary for me to know what went into it. Very effective!

It's nice to know that some just like the image without having to know the "how" of it. In the seven years since making it I'll admit to several occasions when i actually had to think a bit as to how I actually did it!

"The mystery of it" is, to me, its continual charm.

Glad you like it, Min!

You got it!
Two reflections, one captured by the camera, one produced by mirroring half the image, and the last...vertical flip. Those aren't two hills at the ends of the horizon; they are the banks of the stock tank. The actual horizon is leve l (this IS eastern South Dakota, after all....).

Thanks for the pondering, Piet!
