August Fingerwork #5 - If there be dragons
I chose something I knew would be just about impossible for the fun of it - a water lily in the harshest sun imaginable. Then went from there with whatever I could find. Chuck inspired me to play with text.

I LOVE IT! Needs something? What? I think it's perfect. I'm never afraid to shoot in full sun, especially back light (that there is no light like)... I think everything works perfectly here, and the text and font chosen are also perfect. Perfect is perfectly perfection. I'm not sure it can be improved.

Friends call me Chuck.

There is no light like back light. No, really.

You're really coming into your own now, Minniev and I agree with above posts.
As a discussion point. Mask out the thin black lines crossing over the large flower?
What do you think?
Have fun;

Thank you for much Chuck. I have put it aside for a bit and I'll come back to it. Sometimes that helps. I'm not sure, I just don't feel like I'm finished with it.Charles Haacker wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 2:55 pmI LOVE IT! Needs something? What? I think it's perfect. And yes, I'll shoot in any kind of light, including none, because it's fun to see what I can do with it!

Thank you. I'm glad we have some folks on our forum who don't think I'm crazy for pursuing these oddities.
The reasoning behind the black lines (and I know if we have to explain something that's a clue that it isn't working as we'd hoped!) was the black crosshatched windowscreen texture. I wanted it to look like some of the screen wires were unraveled. I'll look at that part again.
