Chemo Update #2

Post by Matt Quinn »

In mid July, I had been declared in remission from the large B-cell lymphoma. Last week, after an MRI, the doctors found cancer in my brain. They do not know whether it is related to the lymphoma or is new; the tumors sit on the nerve that controls the movement of the left eye, causing double vision which prompted my visit earlier last week with my primary back here in MD. The tumors are deep inside a very difficult location making it dangerous to attempt a biopsy. Maureen and I will be seeing a radiation oncologist as well as my regular oncologist this week and expect to make a decision on treatment by Friday.

By nature and intuition, I am optimistic. The world is not done with me yet before joining that glorious chorus on the mountain.

Matt

Oh Matt I am so sorry, and so sad about this. You'll be in my prayers. I don't think the world has had near enough of you yet. Keep fighting the good fight.
